Podcast: The Artist's Gap

This last weekend my good friend Autumn Kovach was in town from NYC and we recorded a podcast! As two artists, we wanted to share thoughts that would speak to the dialog of how to be an artist in the world today, and what that looks like on a day-to-day basis. As we both are growing our careers, hopefully sharing our thoughts will be inspiring and thought-provoking (or maybe just help another artist know that someone else is out there feeling all the same feelings). The podcast is just under an hour, and we address the three questions below.

- A lot of creativity evolves from imitating art and style we like. How do you find your own niche?

-Ira Glass from This American Life has a video (found here) that talks about the creativity gap: how an artist sees where they are and where they want to be, but over time that gap closes. What does that gap look like for you?

-Finish this line: the most difficult thing to deal with as an artist is _______. Why?
